Sylvie Pierce is founder and Chief Executive of Building
Better Health; a property company specialising in partnership with
the public sector. The company has won long term contracts
with the NHS in London, and has completed a number of award winning
schemes:
- Best Community Healthcare
Building (2008)
- Design Champion of the Year
(2008)
- Client of the Year (2007)
- RIBA award (2008).
Prior to her career in property
development, Sylvie had a long career in local government, where
her last post was as Chief Executive at the London Borough of Tower
Hamlets.
Sylvie is Chair of Governors at
Mossbourne Community Academy; a Richard Rogers designed school,
which she worked on for the sponsor, Sir Clive Bourne. She is
also on the Board of London Remade, a social enterprise
specialising in recycling.
In the past she has been on the
Board of the Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme, an equal
opportunities commissioner and a visiting professor at Guildhall
University.
