Kevin Whittle
Head of Policy
Kevin’s role focuses on influencing policy at local,
regional and national levels to achieve the organisation’s goals
for regeneration in the Lower Lea Valley and London
Riverside.
Kevin is a non-executive director of London Remade, whose
ultimate aim is to transform the capital’s waste into a reusable
resource and developing markets for recycled materials.
Immediately before joining the London Thames Gateway Development
Corporation, Kevin worked in the Office of the Deputy Prime
Minister as an adviser on the government’s long term regeneration
plans for the Thames Gateway.
He was Head of Regeneration at the London Borough of Tower
Hamlets from 1994 to 2001 and, prior to that, team leader for the
Greater London Council`s King’s Cross and St Pancras regeneration
programme.
He is a graduate of Sussex and Liverpool Universities and a keen
sailor.
