London Thames Gateway Development Corporation exists to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses in one of the most dynamic and culturally vibrant parts of the Thames Gateway.
Working closely with government and its statutory partners, the Greater London Authority, the London Development Agency, the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham and Tower Hamlets, London Thames Gateway Development Corporation will facilitate implementation plans to accelerate the regeneration of town centres, commercial sites, housing and services to improve the quality of life for people living and working in the area.
The importance of this work cannot be overstated. The development of the Thames Gateway is vital to the economic future of London, the South East and the country as a whole.
This is an exciting time for East London with the Lower Lea Valley, now the focal point for the London 2012 Olympic Games and there's plenty more besides. I welcome your interest in our organisation and hope you will visit our website regularly to follow our progress as our activities develop.
