Consultation on planning applications
Planning applications and their supporting documents, including
plans, drawings, and other technical information are available to
the public at the relevant London Borough planning department
office, libraries within the borough and in many cases on line on
the borough's web site.
If you would like to comment on a planning application being
determined by LTGDC you will need to submit your comments to the
relevant London Borough planning departments, rather than directly
to LTGDC. This is because the boroughs manage the administration of
applications on our behalf. The boroughs will always advise us of
any comments submitted on planning applications, which will be
determined by LTGDC’s planning committee.

Members of the public are also welcome to attend LTGDC planning
committee meetings. Interested parties are able to ask to speak on
an application being considered at the meeting. These requests
should be made by 5pm two working before the meeting to LTGDC’s
committee clerk.

Where objectors have asked to speak, applicants or their
representatives will also be asked whether they wish to speak at
the meeting.
Applicants or their representatives will not normally be allowed
to speak where the application is recommended for approval and
there are no requests from objectors to speak. When there is public
speaking at planning committee, a total of five minutes is
allocated to allow objectors to address committee. A further five
minutes is allocated to allow supporters, including the applicant,
to address committee. If there is more than one person wishing to
speak to object or support the application, the time will be
allocated between them. You do not need to notify us if you wish to
attend only.
Note: London Thames Gateway Development Corporation offices are
not open for casual visits by the public and copies of applications
will not be available for inspection at our offices.

enquiry you may have.
