Cookie policy

This page explains cookies and similar browser storage on ltgdc.org.uk. Questions can be sent to info@ltgdc.org.uk. Read it alongside the privacy policy.

The current public website

LTG does not currently use analytics, advertising tracking, newsletter tracking or affiliate tracking. Anonymous checks of the homepage and contact page on 21 October 2026 found no cookies set by those page responses. This is a dated check of those routes, rather than a guarantee about every possible interaction or a third-party website you choose to visit.

Administration and security

The site runs on WordPress and uses Wordfence for security. WordPress uses cookies for authorised sign-in, testing whether a browser accepts cookies, login language and administrator preferences. These functions are different from tracking readers for advertising. The cookies you encounter depend on whether you visit the login area and sign in.

Wordfence may use cookies for particular security functions, including recognising an authorised administrator or remembering an optional login-security choice where enabled. The presence and duration of these cookies depend on the feature and configuration. Not every cookie described in a provider’s documentation is necessarily enabled here. Read WordPress cookie documentation and Wordfence’s cookie and data protection information for the relevant functions.

Your browser choices

You can inspect, delete or block cookies through your browser’s settings. Blocking authentication or security cookies may prevent sign-in or affect protected features. Deleting a cookie does not remove correspondence or server records; those are explained in the privacy policy.

External links and future changes

Reference links lead to independent sites. Their cookies and privacy notices apply when you visit them. If LTG introduces optional browser storage or tracking, this notice and any required visitor choices should be updated before it is used. Whether consent or an exemption applies depends on the technology and purpose. The ICO’s guidance on storage and access technologies explains the UK rules.
