This notice explains how personal information is used on ltgdc.org.uk, an editorial website published under the name LTG Development Consultants. For privacy questions or requests, email info@ltgdc.org.uk.
Information you provide
If you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address, subject and message. If you email directly, the information includes your email address and anything you send. These details are used to read and answer your enquiry, handle corrections or complaints and keep a relevant correspondence record. Please avoid sending sensitive information or information about someone else that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
Technical and security information
The hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, requested pages, dates and times, browser or device information and security events. Wordfence is used to help detect malicious traffic, protect accounts and investigate security incidents. Security checks may block suspicious requests. Authorised administrator accounts also involve account, login and settings information. Ordinary readers do not need an account.
Purposes and lawful bases
Responding to ordinary enquiries, maintaining the publication and protecting the website are carried out on the basis of legitimate interests: communicating with readers and operating a reliable, secure website. Information may also need to be processed to meet a legal obligation. Where a particular request involves another lawful basis, this will be explained as relevant. Contact details are not used to enrol you in marketing.
Analytics, advertising and newsletters
The site does not currently use visitor analytics, advertising tracking, a newsletter service or affiliate tracking. It does not sell personal information. There is no online shop or payment facility. Links to reference material take you to other websites, whose privacy practices are their own.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be handled by providers supporting hosting, caching, email delivery and storage, website administration and security, where needed for those functions. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Access should be limited to what is needed for the relevant purpose.
Wordfence is provided by Defiant, Inc., a US company. Its services may involve processing security information outside the UK. Its published data protection information explains its processing and contractual safeguards. Contact the email above for questions about the arrangements applicable to this site; a provider’s general policy does not by itself establish the arrangements for a particular transfer.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on why the information is needed. Relevant correspondence may be kept while an enquiry, correction, complaint or related legal issue remains open and for a justified period afterwards. Technical and security records are subject to the hosting and security tools’ retention settings and the need to investigate incidents. Backups may retain information until they are replaced under the provider’s cycle. You can ask about the retention of information relating to you; no fixed deletion period is promised here.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access your information, correct inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict processing or receive information in a portable form. You also have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Email the contact above to make a request. Proportionate information may be needed to verify your identity; please do not send identity documents unless requested through a suitable route.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are concerned about how your information is handled. You may contact LTG first, but you do not have to do so before approaching the ICO.
Other information
Providing contact details is voluntary, although a reply cannot be sent without a usable return address. The website does not use personal information to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. See the cookie policy for browser storage information. This notice will be reviewed when the website’s practices change.
